Builders Care Builds New Home for Family with Special Needs
Builders Care, the nonprofit arm of the Lee County Building Industry Association unveiled a new home to Charyse, Brad and Kayla Smith on December 18, 2015.
Kayla Smith has spastic quadriplegia cerebral palsy, which affects the muscles in her limbs. She has a difficult time using her arms but despite this, she managed to clap and smile throughout her new home dedication.
The house is equipped with many handicap-accessible and supportive features including a built-in garage ramp and wider doorways for Kayla’s wheelchair and to prevent her feet from hitting the walls when her parents carry her.
This life changing gift will have an ever-lasting effect on the Smith’s and to the hundreds in our community that helped make this dream come true. The Land Solutions team showed up in full force to welcome the Smith’s to new their new home.
